Today is the last day of the school holidays, and the last two weeks have gone in a bit of a blur, what with all the excitement about Christmas. One thing I have noticed is how much the girls have enjoyed playing together. Well, when they haven’t been fighting!
We spent this morning at soft play with friends and while Imogen is too small to be left to roam entirely on her own, she was very happy to follow Sophie around or for Sophie to follow her around. Having her big sister to help and encourage her meant she could do most of the climbing she wanted to without needing me to follow her. And when she got stuck or sad, her protective big sister brought her back to me for cuddles. The three of us had a lovely time; they loved running around together and I could catch up with a friend and enjoy a cheeky Diet Coke break!
It’s hard to remember life without them both, and I hope they will grow up to be great friends getting into lots of mischief. I know that Imogen will miss her play mate tomorrow, although I suspect she will also enjoy playing with all of the toys she’s been banned from for two weeks too!
